Thankful Thursday 💛

“The dinner was good. I got the haddock. They made it exactly as I asked. The dessert, cream puff, amazing!!! Also the side salad was very fresh and a good size.”

There are four words in this review that mean more to me than anyone probably realizes: “Exactly as I asked.”

Because to me, THAT is what a family restaurant is supposed to be.

We can have recipes and traditions that have been here for years, but at the end of the day, it's your dinner. You are choosing to spend your money with us, sit at one of our tables, and trust us to take care of you. If there is something we can reasonably do to make your meal the way you enjoy it, we want to listen.

And “exactly as I asked” means our team did just that. The server listened, kitchen paid attention, salad was fresh, haddock came out right, and apparently that cream puff did what our cream puffs tend to do. 😂

Those little details matter so much to me.

I grew up watching my dad take care of people in this restaurant. He knew the regulars, listened to what people wanted, and understood that hospitality wasn't just putting a plate in front of someone. It was making people feel like they mattered.

Now, I find myself paying attention to those same things. I read every review.

And, it makes this little girl who spent so many years watching her dad do exactly that incredibly proud of the family inside these doors carrying it forward with me.

Thank you for trusting us with your dinner. Thank you for telling us what you like and giving us the opportunity. And thank you for continuing to choose this little family restaurant for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or sometimes just a cream puff because you know you need one. 💛

If this little corner could talk… 👀

Every day, this is where we welcome familiar faces, meet travelers passing through on I-81, cash out families after a good meal, and send people home with a pie (or two 😉).

For more than 40 years, thousands upon thousands of people have walked through Bingham’s doors. Some local, some just passing through, and plenty who made us a regular stop along the way. ❤️

Meet the Family Monday 🖤

Meet Jess 🤍

One of the greatest compliments we can ever receive isn’t something a customer says, it’s when someone who has worked here before chooses to come home.

Jess was first part of the Bingham’s family from 2022–2024. Life took her in the direction of continuing to build her beautiful family, but in November of 2025, she walked back through our doors to serve up Thanksgiving dinner every Thursday with the biggest smile.

There’s just something really special about getting someone back. 🤍 My dad was always really proud of that and I am, too.

Because when people leave, we always hope they take a little piece of Bingham’s with them. When they return, it reminds us that maybe this place became a little piece of home for them, too.

Jess’s favorite meal is our Cinnamon Raisin French Toast 🍞, and for dessert, she’s choosing Raspberry Cream Cheese Pie every time 🥧

But her favorite part of Bingham’s is the customers. She loves hearing their stories.. where they’re traveling from, where they’re headed, and how Bingham’s became part of their journey. 🚗

I love that answer because this restaurant has always been a place people come back to. Customers plan their trips around us. Former employees stop in to say hello. College kids come back on breaks. People who worked here years ago bring their own children through the doors.

And sometimes, like Jess, they come back to work beside us again. Side note: Jess is a public servant as well in Susquehanna County and we are so proud of the difficult work she does.

Her favorite family tradition is that every Christmas Eve, Jess, her husband, and their boys have a family sleepover in Mom and Dad’s room, so everyone wakes up together Christmas morning to experience the “Santa Magic.” 🎅

Maybe that’s what home really is, the people and places you want to keep coming back to.

Jess, thank you for choosing Bingham’s once and choosing us again (we are so lucky)!
