Thankful Thursday 💛🧁

“I was just at a baby shower in Scranton that had Bingham’s cream puffs and I was amazed! I highly recommend their baked goods. Perfect for a party! Thank you Bingham’s! Everyone loved them!”

This review made my heart so happy.

There's something really special about knowing our baked goods gets to be part of life's biggest moments. Baby showers. Birthday parties. Graduations. Holidays. Family dinners. Even weddings. It's an honor we NEVER take for granted.

My dad always believed that food had a way of bringing people together. He never came to a party without a pie! Some of the best conversations happen around a table, and it makes me smile knowing our cream puffs were part of celebrating a brand new little life.

Our bakery has always been so much more than pies. Every day, long before most people are awake, our bakers are hard at work making the breads, rice pudding, cookies, cream puffs, and desserts that fill our cases. It's a labor of love, and seeing those treats become part of your family's celebrations makes every early morning worth it.

I miss my dad even more this time of the year, but I know he would have loved hearing that people were enjoying our cream puffs at a baby shower. He always hoped that a little piece of Bingham's could make its way into people's homes and become part of their happiest memories.

Meet the Family Monday 🖤

Meet Damon 🤍

You know, some people are just meant to be here.

From the moment Damon walked through our doors to fill out an application, there was just something about him. You could tell he was a good person. The kind of person you hope says "yes" when you offer them a job. Thankfully, he did.

Since then, Damon has become one of those people who makes Bingham's feel even more like home. He's dependable, always willing to help, and the kind of teammate who makes everyone around him better. Very few people volunteer to work a double shift washing dishes and very people have moved as quickly onto the line.

His favorite meal is a burger with a side of mozzarella sticks 🍔🧀, and when it comes to dessert, he's reaching for a slice of chocolate cream pie 🥧

When asked what his favorite part about working at Bingham's is, his answer was simple: "The people. It's like one big family."

I smiled when I read that because it's exactly what we hope our people feel. Somewhere between the busy shifts, the early mornings, and the long days, strangers become coworkers... coworkers become friends... and before you know it, they're family.

Outside of Bingham's, Damon loves spending time outdoors with his kids. Whether they're swimming, playing outside, or just enjoying time together, that's where he's happiest ☀️🏊‍♂️

My dad had a way of recognizing good people. He believed that skill could be taught, but character couldn't. From the day Damon walked through our doors, I think my dad would have seen exactly what we all see now...a genuinely good man with a kind heart and a strong work ethic.

Damon, thank you for choosing us. Thank you for the positivity you bring, for the way you care about the people around you, and for helping make Bingham's the family it's always been.

We're lucky you're part of ours.

Thankful Thursday 🍌🥧💛

“The banana cream pie will keep you up at night. The staff is always so friendly and such a welcoming vibe to the entire place.”

I had to laugh when I read the first line... because if you've ever had our banana cream pie, you probably understand exactly what they mean. 😊

And if you haven't tried our banana cream pancakes yet... this might be your sign. We took one of our favorite pies and gave it a breakfast twist, and they've quickly become a favorite around here.

But what really touched my heart about this review was everything that came after the banana pie comment.

The pie (and maybe the pancakes 😉) might bring you through the door, but it's our greatest hope that our people are what bring you back.

When someone says our staff is always friendly and that the whole restaurant has such a welcoming feeling, it means more than we can put into words. Some of the people on our team have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up watching them work, laughing with them in the kitchen, and learning from them. They aren't just employees to me. They're family.

Every host who welcomes you, every server who remembers your favorite order, every baker who fills the cases before sunrise, every cook behind the line... they all help create the feeling that people remember long after the meal is over.

That's exactly the kind of place my dad wanted Bingham's Family Restaurant to be.

I miss him every day, but when people notice the warmth, the kindness, and the people behind it all, I can't help but think a piece of him is still here.

Thank you to our incredible team for loving this place the way they do. And thank you to every customer who notices it. Your kind words don't just make our day... they remind us why we keep showing up every morning, doing our best to make our customers, and my dad, proud. 💕🍌🥧
