Planning a "Tea 101" Tasting for November 2014 in Lenoir! it will cover all 5 true teas (Black, Pu'erh, oolong, green and white) as well as a few Tisanes (Herbals). The Fact: Oolong tea definitely helps you lose weight

As we all know, oolong tea originated in China and Chinese have long believed that the tea is beneficial in weight loss and making one thin.

A research conducted by China in 1998 shows that of all the 102 female participants, continuous consumption of oolong tea for six weeks resulted in body weight deduction.

Scientists from the University of Tokushima also found that oolong tea can double the amount of fat being excreted. They also proved that people who drank 2 cups of oolong tea each day burned over 157% fat than those who drank the same amount of green tea.

A US study, conducted in 2001 by Physiologist Dr. William Rumpler of the US Agriculture Research Services’ Diet and Human Laboratory, shows that oolong tea is effective in burning fat for energy.
