Hello Midst8 Taco customers. We appreciate you following us on Instagram and hope you will also follow us on Facebook. There is only one official Midst8 Taco page ( first pic). In the second pic is the fake profile. We hope whoever created that page will delete it. We have reported that page as a fake profile page.

We have delicious specials on the menu like wood roasted sweet🌽,with poblanos and onions for vegetarian tacos , sopes , quesadillas etc . We also have local pork spare ribs barbacoa tacos in a Oaxacan mole colaradito and for tamales , we have chicken in a salsa verde with tomatillos .
The last remaining element are the flan , which are both made using locally grown berries -one is a red raspberry , with Bailey’s ; the other is with blackberries , macerated in a white rum with sugar and is pictured below .

Midst8 Taco is proud to announce that we were named the Reader’s Choice for both the ‘Best Chef ‘ and the ‘Best Lunch Spot’ and the overall title
of ‘ Best Consumer Values ( all on the West siiiiiiiiide!!!!!!h
We couldn’t have done it without the love and support of all of you-so thanks !
We have a special today that will knock you out- wood seared locally sourced pork
spare ribs , braised in Oaxacan Colaradito mole ( chiles , peanuts , tree nuts , sesame seeds, charred tomatoes .)slowly overnight until fork tender and then gently shredded .The tacos are garnished with finely chopped onions , cilantro chiffonade and salsa picosa and the braise pic is the last one. .
Come in and give it a whirl. Open till 2:00pm today. Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, Saturday 8:00am-2:00pm Dine in or take away service available.

Did you know Chef Pippa Calland went to culinary school in Italy? When Midst8 Taco is closed, chef Pippa creates culinary magic at home using the best of local fresh ingredients. Friday on my mind ! Don’t you ♥️it when you have a post half written and the dang thing just disappears ?
At any rate , on this beautiful day, we have wood roasted bi-color corn tacos with
poblanos and yellow onions as our vegetarian special.
We have PA lamb barbacoa as a special as well …,seared seasoned lanb shoulder over wood and charcoal , then braised with aged sherry wine, garlic , chiles , wild avocado leaves and cumin over low n slow heat, til the next morning , when the lamb has become fork tender.
The lamb is then shredded and served , with the pan juices , as tacos or sopes or nachos …….all are delicious !!!
We have fresh ( non processed ) rock shrimp tamales in a salsa roja with cilantro y onion .Yummy !
And last but hardly least, the Fantastic ! Flans. one is made with locally grown red raspberries and Sicilian blood orange liqueur and the other is made with black mission figs, slow roasted with honey and thyme from the garden , finished with Frangelico liqueur (hazelnut .)

In terms of culinary offerings,
we have our whole menu , plus lanb barbacoa as a special , as well as locally grown raspberry flan, finished with Godiva chocolate liqueur .
We also have freshly made pico de gallo for sale , made from Mechanicsburg tomatoes and
freshly fried chips.

Alas , Midst8 Taco is saddened to tell you we will be unable to open today, Tuesday , June 18 fcir one simole reason : we are understaffed. / are down a cook.
Can you help us solve this priblem ? Do you have a friend or know sinebody’s kid or a similar situation ? We need them -and you to help foster the introduction .
We will thank you profusely. We will miss you today.

It’s Friday , the AC is pumpin’ and summer is in fulll swing here in the Midst8!!! Beautiful vegetables, fruits and herbs fill the stands and here at the Taqueria , we have followed suit with some beautiful specials , which are very simple , but very delicious !
For the vegetarian special , ( probably for the last week, considering the heat ,.) is wood oven roasted PA asparagus , freshly pickled and tossed with extra virgin olive oil and kosher salt and roasted on a hot tray .
They can be served as a taco or a sope or on a taco salad or Whatever ! For the tacos , they are served with pickled red onions , queso fresco and salsa picosa. And this begins the countdown to corn tacos -and elote❤️!!!
For Protein specials, we have a little Beef Barbacoa left -locally sourced beef chuck roast , cooked low and slow with cider vinegar , avocado leaves , garlic cloves and guajillo chilis until fork tender , then shredded. Served with finely chopped yellow onions, cilantro chiffonade and salsa picosa.
But ,,,BUT.., hang onto your hats because we also have beautiful local crispy pork belly
today !!!!( pictured below )
Cured with salt , sugar snd freshly ground pepper and
par roasted and then rested and then this morning , crisped just before lunchtime . For the taco special , they are being served with a cilantro chiffonade, yellow onions and salsa verde.
For tamales , we have poached chicken in a salsa berde, wrapped in banana leaves and steamed .
And last but not least , Flan !
we are down already to a
few black 🍒 with amaretto..

Our beautiful 😻 Beef Barbacoa soecial that we are obsessed with today -yumminess abides aqui !
Locally sourced beef chuck roast , seared over wood and then slowly braised overnight with apple cider vinegar , garlic , chiles guajillo and wild avocado leaves.
The next morning , the beef was shredded and the tacos are
served with onions , cilantro , radish and salsa picosa ..YUMMY !
We also have two types of tanales -poached chicken with a salsa verde and jumbo lump crab, in a green sauce as well.
For our vegetarian special , we still have our beloved wood oven roasted PA asparagus tacos, served with pickled red onions , grated queso fresco and salsa picosa .Not much longer on this …..
Last and hardly least , rejoice flan-ites ! For the flan has returned to form and we are offering two this weekend , both redolent with fresh fruit from Steve and Red Barn Produce !
The first is a fresh blood orange and raspberry flan , macerated with Grand Marnier , and sugar and the second is California Black cherries , with white amaretto . Both turned out beautifully-but only you can be the judge !
