I love new adventures!
I heard about this place Friday at work, found it online & made reservations because I have an amazing man that goes along with my shenanigans.
Millsap Farms in Springfield is a family owned farm that serves up wood fired pizzas with the freshest ingredients almost every Thursday night (& a select few Fridays)
Take your own chairs & drinks, sit back & enjoy the live music & unlimited pizza for $18/person.
It's an interesting place to people watch. Fantastic unique pizza, thin crust, wood fired & all you can eat served buffet style.
My favorite was the Thai pizza, peanut sauce, bokchoy, carrots, marinated radishes, roasted chicken, scallions and mozzarella.

Brunch at Farmhouse Cafe, Springfield
M had a full order of biscuits & gravy, 2 eggs over easy, bacon.
Nothing fancy, good fluffy biscuits. Not homemade gravy.
T had a pancake with strawberries & hashbrowns. She was very impressed with both.
J had liver & onions, mashed potatoes & brown gravy with corn. Liver was pretty thin slices but good flavor. Garlic mashed potatoes were good, sweet corn also good.
I liked that I could order lunch food at 930am. I'm not a huge breakfast fan. Good solid little cafe. Big menu. Lots of dessert options, next time I'll try some cheesecake.

Palm & Paddle
This Caribbean vibe restaurant has been open since June '24. I have wanted to try it for a while.
Today marks 8 months since our 1st date so M decided tonight would be dinner out on the town.
The Palm & Paddle building is nice, very new, clean & has a cool Caribbean vibe. A Bob Marley soundtrack was playing overhead.
For an appetizer, we chose nachos. I don't do spicy so I chose chicken with no jerk for our nachos. Unfortunately we were surprised that our chicken was sweet since I ordered it with no jerk seasoning. Oh well, we ate it &
anxiously awaited the entrees..
Our drinks were good, mine (dragon fruit bliss)wasn't as swet as I would have liked. The Caribbean Mule was very good, light & refreshing.
M ordered Jerk chicken, it was dry & had no flavor at all. Very disappointing. The side of rice was also flavorless, tasted like box rice. The sweet & sour slaw was interesting with a strong mayonnaise flavor, not our favorite but he ate more of it than anything.
I ordered Carne Asada, medium rare with fire roasted corn & seasoned black beans. The steak was way over cooked, the server asked if everything was great and I showed him my steak. They brought me another steak cooked closer to medium rare. The 2nd steak was the worst quality steak. It was all gristle and fat. The chimichurri sauce was the best part of my meal. I think the fire roasted corn & black beans were from a can with no additional effort put in.
Dominick provided great service.
They did remove the carne asada from the bill & gave us a free appetizer voucher for next time.

I needed ice cream after that disaster, so off to Braums. Turtle Sundae for me & a chocolate shake for M.
Lots of laughs were had, it was a great date night.

Cornerstone Subs &.Pizza in Lebanon for the win!!! This pizza was phenomenal! Super supreme was loaded with toppings, sauce was perfect for me. I don't care for a sweet sauce. Thin crust 😋

Chicken Parm was a grilled chicken breast topped with mozzrella cheese & homemade marinara on homemade white bread, added tomatoes & black olives. Solid sandwich, big enough for 2 full meals.

14 Mill Market for the Win!!!
We were very impressed with this place. Can't wait to go back.
There are 10 different food options at this establishment and a nice bar.
We chose Classics Pizza Co & Notcho Ordinary Taco for lunch.
BBQ chicken pizza was on point, crispy crust & flavorful.
3 different tacos (your choice of any 3 on the menu), chips & salsa and a Jarrito. My 3 tacos were-
KOREAN ASADA Bulgogi marinated steak, kimchi, cilantro, avocado salsa verde served on a corn tortilla.
ANCHO CHILE PORK
Pork cooked in an ancho chili sauce, onions, cilantro, melty mozzy/jack mixed cheese
Served on a dipped corn tortilla
HAWAIIAN SURF N TURF
Teriyaki glaze shrimp and steak, Swiss cheese, lettuce, pineapple chutney, spicy aïoli, served on Parmesan crusted flour tortilla.
We loved all 3 tacos so much I couldn't even pick a favorite.
Wisner Bar did not disappoint! Top notch drinks. They have Christmas cocktails and I had to try a Margarita. Mistletoe Margarita was beautiful, boozy but not too strong, fantastic! M had a blackberry bourbon with Sprite that was also delish.

Jimm's Steakhouse & Pub in Springfield.
This is probably going to be an unpopular opinion, but it was my honest experience today.
Fresh salad bar, lots of options.
Plate # 1- Polynesian Steak 11oz was cooked perfectly and if you like a soy sauce/pineapple flavor, it was spot on. A lot of gristle in this steak made it difficult to eat. Loaded baked potato was perfect
Plate # 2 - Steak bites - the menu reads -Sauteed tender tips, grilled flatbread, caramalized onions, and horseradish spread. Which is exactly what you get, but it seemed like an odd combination on the plate. Steak was tender but over cooked and lacked seasoning. Flatbread was flavorless. Onions were very strong. Horseradish spread was missing the horseradish 🤣
Plate # 3 - Bacon wrapped flame grilled shrimp with wild rice & broccoli.
Bacon had no flavor, how is not even possible? Shrimp was dry. Wild rice had no flavor. Broccoli was steamed with absolutely no seasoning.
Overall, not impressed with Jimm's today.

Tonight's adventure lead us to Red's Giant Hamburg on Sunshine in Springfield.
Established in 1947, it is believed to be the world's first drive-through.
This was a neat restaurant with sights, sounds and tastes of Route 66.
Tuesdays they offer a $5 pork tenderloin sandwich.
M was impressed with the pork tenderloin, fresh not frozen patty. Like an old fashioned truck stop sandwich.
J orderd the double with cheese with hand cut fries. Definitely a good smash burger. Not greasy, good flavor.
Chocolate milkshake with hand dipped ice cream was delicious.
Friendly staff, clean restaurant.

Absolutely Fantastic food. Service was quick and timely. This is authentic 5⭐️Mexican cuisine. We started with a Margarita Flight with a BerryBerry, Strawberry, Pineapple and Mango. Very yummy and strong. The chips were fresh. Salsa was a touch sweet and I had to add a touch of zip to it and salt. For our entree J got a Taco Flight. Consisting of pulled pork, beef cheek, beef tongue and tripe with 4 different kinds of salsa. Mind you they are very SPICY so you might want to ask for the tamer version of salsa Lol.
M got the Enchaladas Surpreme A La Mexicana. 3 enchiladas, 1 of each Tripe, Steak & Beef Cheek. Red sauce is a touch spicy, just putting that out there. Highly recommend. Good prices. J's was only $10 for reference. Go try them when you get the chance for sure
