Have you noticed the huge ‘FOR LEASE’ sign posted in Lucky’s parking lot?
Please don’t believe everything you read, we aren’t going anywhere!

I thought I’d take a moment to let you know what is going on. Our landlord has attempted to increase our rent by a very unreasonable amount, and is not willing to negotiate with us. This (failed) negotiation has been attempted for years frankly, and has culminated with them attempting to sell the garage. We’ve been given two choices: 1) pay a wildly unreasonable rent (and the current rent is already high) or, 2) purchase the building for significantly above market value. I’ve offered to purchase the building at market value, and have been refused.
There will be more information to come, and we’ll be as transparent as possible while work to navigate this situation.
I’m publishing this notice to help assuage any of your fears and to answer a few basic questions so our lovely baristas and kitchen folk can continue making good coffee and food without being overwhelmed with questions they can’t answer.

Please be watching for informational posts in the coming days and weeks. We’ll also have information available inside the cafe.
