Our rooftop project is starting to take shape thanks to our Shop Small Grant from Main Street America and American Express! We could use your support though. The grant covered the decking materials, but we still have some construction costs, railings, plumbing, electric, gas lines, furniture, masonry and doors, and other finishing. While we wouldn’t say no to monetary or muscle support, the biggest way you can help right now is with 4” sewer pipe. Yes you read that right. Our pedestals use 4” pvc sewer pipe to get the height needed to level the decking. If you have any scraps laying around, feel free to leave them behind our building! We could use as small as 3” pieces. At Lowe’s it costs around $30 for a 10ft piece, so your scraps could help us make this project a bit more economical and preserve our last bit of grant funds chip away at other project needs.
We will also start to share regular project updates soon! We can’t wait to finish this space! Or, swing by and I’ll show you what’s happening! When it’s done we will have two fantastic patio spaces, one for mostly private use and for growing herbs, flowers and limited produce for use in the restaurant. The other deck will be on the very top of the building overlooking downtown and will be available for small group rentals and rooftop dinners. Stay tuned!
