Well, I never thought I would cry on the ice cream truck.. BUT...

The summer is slowly coming to an end, which means last visits for some of our rec camps and childcare centers. It's been amazing to get to know these kiddos (and teachers) recognizing their sweet faces and memorizing some of their favorite treats. OOB Rec took the time to make me some very special cards to show their appreciation. THIS is where the tears starting flowing. I made sure not to let them see, but I also shared that I am just as grateful for them. I am not doing this job to make anything more than smiles and memories for both kids and adults! Mission accomplished in SO many ways all summer. We are far from done our season, but reality is really setting in that school starts again soon. Bittersweet ❤️

Upper 80°s= an amazing day for ice cream!! 🍦

Today we got to serve ~300 smiling faces from one side of town to the other 😁 Oh, did we mention that was all before 1:30pm? Luckily I brought my mom along for company... and help 😂Tonight we head back to OOB for Concerts in the Park, which is a fun new venture for us this year. My community/customers rock!!

Come see all the fun S**o Parks & Recreation Department has planned for you!

Join us this Sunday, May 17th, for our 3rd Annual Spring Fest event at Diamond Riverside Park, (located on Irving Street in S**o). This is an event for all ages and the weather forecast is looking promising! Here are a few details & reminders about the day.

This event is from 12pm-3pm. Please stop by anytime during the 3-hour event! We will have Smokin Dad's food truck and A Sweet Ride ice cream truck on site for purchases, plus we will have disc golf demos & a practice area, crafts, seedling planting, a scavenger hunt, bucket golf, Pétanque, facepainting, and more!

Parking is available at the park and on Irving Street. Please abide by all posted parking rules. Because space is limited, we will also be providing a shuttle from the Community Center. Our minibus will constantly loop back and forth from the park to 75 Franklin Street. Please wait near the front door entrance and our lobby vestibule for the shuttle.
*Please note: 5+ Age restriction required to ride in minibus. Those ages 5-8 who require a booster seat must bring one for the bus!

This event will be rain or shine unless we get a last-minute, heavy storm. If there are any cancellations, we will post on our Facebook and Instagram pages.

We are fortunate to have this scenic park right on the S**o River. It’s the perfect place to just come enjoy a picnic and the playground. There is also a flat walking path that surrounds the park and it will host a new story walk this summer!
