Community, Mentorship, and the Heart of Authentic Taste of Jamaica π―π²π
They say it takes a village, and in the restaurant industry, that village is anchored by strong mentorship. This photo captures a moment of pure gratitude for two leaders who have shaped my journey from day one.
I was honored today when Aree Proctor called my cell phone directly to place an order for both herself and June Meyer! Having them both come over to pick up their meals and spend some time catching up was the absolute highlight of my day.
Standing between these two powerhouse women, Iβm reminded of how much their leadership and friendship mean to me:
β’ June Meyer (left, in the pink blouse) built one of Leavenworthβs most successful businesses before retiring and has spent over seven years giving me the honest, unvarnished truths every entrepreneur needs to hear.
β’ Aree Proctor (right) is the owner of Baan Thai and the newly opened Noodles of Asia, consistently setting the bar high for restaurant excellence and local business leadership.
Both of these women have served as an invaluable compass through every challenge and milestone in this industry. If you are building your own business path, surround yourself with mentors who aren't afraid to give you the real, necessary truthsβtheir guidance makes all the difference.
Thank you, June and Aree, for your wisdom, your friendship, and for stopping by to support Authentic Taste of Jamaica!
