Our vision at El Jefe’s Fresh-Mex Cantina is to provide delicious, healthy “Fresh-Mex” creations with pride and passion and to insure quality service in a friendly environment. We strive to offer an exquisite, casual dining experience where both locals and tourists can gather and enjoy the relaxing environment of beautiful Lead, SD.
Chef Tom has 35+ years of experience in restaurant and catering management and has served over 1.6 million satisfied customers in South Dakota since 1999. He has earned “Excellent Customer Service” awards from SD Tourism, “Best Dining Experience” awards in Estes Park, CO and he has also won numerous First Place awards for a variety of cook-offs in SD and CO.
El Jefe’s is the brainchild of both Chef Tom and his wife, Karen. Together they bring you fresh made, healthy, Mexican cuisine to the Northern Black Hills.
