“When a Dream Becomes Reality, Then Becomes a Memory.”
In 2006, as their children stepped into new chapters of life, Annie and Jun transformed their personal crossroads into a culinary passion - AJ Pilipinas. The restaurant's name was more than just letters; it was a family signature, carefully crafted from their own initials, Annie and Jun, and their daughters', Adel and Joahna, a testament to the family bond that would fuel their entrepreneurial journey.
This wasn't just a restaurant. It was their third child, born when their nest became empty, nurtured with the same intensity they had raised their children. Every dish was a labor of love, every recipe a chapter of their immigrant story, every service a reflection of blood, sweat, and tears poured into creating something uniquely theirs.
For nearly 2 decades, AJ Pilipinas stood as a beacon of Filipino culture, tradition, and resilience. Through challenging days of early mornings, late nights, complex logistics, and the constant demands of restaurant life, Annie and Jun didn't just serve food - they served their heart, their heritage, and their dream.
As they prepare to retire, they step back knowing the restaurant bore witness to their most profound personal transformation - from parents focused on raising children to entrepreneurs creating a community gathering place.
While new renters may keep the name AJ Pilipinas, the true essence of what made this place special cannot be transferred - it lives in the memories, the flavors, and the spirit Annie and Jun cultivated.
Maraming salamat to every customer who became family. You have been the heart and soul of our story. 🫶🏽🇵🇭
