Populus started in 2016 by Sari and Henrik Haavisto, originally from Helsinki. “Populus” is Latin for people. They back that up by working directly producers and farms and doing business that makes people feel good. They make the effort to visit two origin countries a year to maintain relationships with the farmers.

“Our Nordic roots are reflected in our sourcing and roasting styles as well as in the way we run Populus. Our culture values transparency, trustworthiness, autonomy and lack of hierarchy.”
