St. John's Oktoberfest

St. John's Oktoberfest Authentic German food, beer, music, and dancing on Saturday, September 26, starting at 4:30pm.

The Polka Mass will start at 4pm this year to help with parking. 1234 Kentucky Street, Lawrence, Kansas.

It takes a village to have this wonderful event. With out all of you, we wouldn't have made it 30 years! Please sign up to help. All ages welcome! All abilities welcome! We can accommodate anyone willing to help us.

Check this option and submit the form again if you would like to proceed with changing the repeating pattern and updating spots with assignments. This update will change assignments that participants have signed up for.

Next week we start cooking:
Monday 21st, 3pm. Washing sauerkraut, cooking and chopping bacon.
Tuesday 22nd, 3pm. Making sauerkraut, making cabbage roll filling.
Wednesday 23rd, 3pm. Making sauerkraut, boiling & de-veining cabbage leaves. Bring a small pairing knife.
Thursday 24th, 3pm. Boiling and peeling potatoes.
Friday 25th, 3pm. Cutting potatoes, making potatoe salad, rolling cabbage leaves with filling, setting up basement.
Saturday 26th, 8am-1pm. Cooking schnitzel. Please bring an electric skillet as we have a limited amount. Also need help with breading and filling roasters. Also cutting & wrapping desserts. Finish setting up basement.
Saturday 26th, 4-10pm. We need servers, dish washers, fillers, runners, cashiers.
Sunday 27th, 11am-3pm. Final cleaning of basement and kitchen to prepare for school lunches on Monday.
