Y'all... like, y'all...
I can't even begin to express how thankful and amazed I am by the results of Best of Lawrence this year.
Gaslight and Alyria placed in the Top 5 of every category we were nominated for.
Best of Lawrence served as a gentle reminder that it has been six months since I assumed the mantle of responsibility for Gaslight, for the family that spends their time in our garden, and for the incredible people who stand beside me to keep this place whimsical, inclusive, and growing in a sustainable way.
So, thank you.
Thank you to everyone who appreciates and supports what we're building.
Thank you to those who spent years before me tending the soul of this little neighborhood bar and helping make it the place so many of us love.
And thank you to Alyria James , Jon Fitzgerald , Kopriva Natasha , Cody Loehr , Mike Humphrey , Tom, Skye, and everyone else who has worked behind the bar, at the door, behind the scenes, or in any of the countless ways it takes to keep even our little bar running.
This recognition doesn't belong to any one person. It belongs to a community that keeps showing up for one another, and to a team that pours their hearts into this place every day.
Here's to keeping it going.
Here's to tending the garden.
And here's to every familiar face and every new one willing to take a little adventure north of the bridge.
