Everybody wants the sweet side of entrepreneurship. But you have to be willing to grow through the messy middle. 💗
From cakes I wouldn't dare post today to desserts that look like they belong in a magazine.
From steep drops in revenue to high-ticket clients who pay their invoices in FULL.
From a kitchen I was embarrassed to film in to a dreamy white kitchen. And now? The keys to my very first cake studio. 🥹
But between those pictures?
There were dropped cakes. Late nights. Slow sales. Content that flopped. Moments I questioned my ability, my pricing, and whether I could actually build the business I kept dreaming about.
And a whole lot of figuring out how to build something beautiful without losing myself in the process.
Sis, we ALL begin somewhere.
And if you quit every time the numbers dip, the content doesn't convert, the cake doesn't turn out, or life demands more of you than you planned to give, you'll never discover what's possible on the other side of perseverance.
But can I tell you what I've learned after all these years?
The sweetest part isn't the money, the beautiful cakes, the dreamy kitchen, or even the studio.
It's the woman I've become along the way.
More courageous. More discerning. More skilled. More confident in what I bring to the table. And a whole lot less interested in proving my worth through how hard I work.
Because the goal was never just to build a beautiful business.
It was to become the kind of woman who could steward one without losing herself.
So here's your reminder: Don't despise your beginning. Don't disqualify yourself because your current reality doesn't look like your vision.
Keep learning. Keep refining. Keep showing up. And give yourself permission to grow at the pace of grace.
There's so much sweetness ahead. 🎀
And the best part? You get to become someone new on the way there.
💗 Save this for the days when your beginning feels a little too far from your dream.
