Today, we spotlight Andrew Maynard. Born and raised in Laurel, MD, Maynard was a light heavyweight boxer who won the US National Championship and the 1988 Olympic Gold Medal as an amateur boxer. How amazing is that?

Maynard went pro a year later and continued to have a successful boxing career rounding up numerous titles around the world.
