As your new local cake girl, I’m here to make all of your wild custom cake dreams come true- along with decorated sugar cookies, macarons, and fancy desserts. Design and Aesthetics are extemely important to me, but only second to quality ingredients! Each custom cake & dessert is always made from scratch. Boxed mixes, preservatives & tubs of pre-made fillings just go against everything I believe in. I would much rather spend a lot more money purchasing the good stuff… organic ingredients, grassfed butter, bourbon vanilla beans, imported Swiss Chocolate, and local PNW produce… Because it makes a far superior product and you deserve it. I currently don’t have a retail storefront available to the public, but you can find us every Saturday (May-August) at the local Happy Valley Farmer’s Market where we will be serving up a rotating selection of seasonal sugar cookies & macarons. I was born & raised in Estacada, Oregon. After graduating from Western Culinary Institute in Portland, Oregon in 2006 I moved to Las Vegas to pursue my career in the Pastry Arts. In my almost 20 years in Las Vegas I worked as a chocolatier at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino, took on a position as head pastry chef for a local catering company, created elaborate custom cakes at “Freed’s Bakery”, started teaching cake & cookie workshops, and even opened my own award-winning custom cake studio & bake shoppe “Gimme Some Sugar”. You might have even seen me on TV: VH1’s “Fabulous Life”, TLC’s “Sister Wives” and of course The Food Network’s “Halloween Wars: season 5”, "Ridiculous Cakes" and “Vegas Cakes” season 2.
