Well, here goes…
Hey everyone. We write this post with such heavy hearts, but we regret to inform you that our efforts for relaunching have fallen short. We had high hopes, but we must officially announce the closure of New Norm.
We really want to thank every one of you that supported us and our venture. You believed in our vision and we’ll always cherish the memories and connections we made along the way. We didn’t know what to expect when we opened up a vegan food truck in Laredo, but you all embraced it and made our dream possible. We have immense gratitude for that, we’re just sorry it was short lived.
We’re balancing many things these days, but we’ve set our sights on a more community oriented project called Laredo Food Not Bombs which involves volunteering and providing free plant based meals through mutual aid, tackling issues such as food insecurity and food waste. After all, we were never in it “for profit” but for people, the climate and, of course, our animal friends.
We’re proud to say the vegan movement has grown in Laredo, and we intend to keep growing with it. We hold onto hope that one day we’ll be serving up our vegan comfort food again. Sadly, it just won’t be through our beloved food truck.
Until then, stay safe and here’s to a NEW world full of NEW possibilities.
