I would like to introduce everyone to Mackenzie Derhammer by day and Sapphire Shade by night; a Lansing queen who despite only doing drag performances for a couple years, with hard work and the ability to overcome numerous adversities, has all ready left a mark on anyone who has witnessed her on stage or face to face. As a person who has struggled with ADHD as well as Asperger's she has been a role model in taking your negatives and turning them into positives. Always unapologetically and authentically being herself you never have to guess at who you're going to get, however one thing's certain, given the chance she will put a smile on your face. As she has always said "Remember to shoot for the stars and your dreams will come true!" All of these things plus many more are the reason we at Bakin' Me Happy have chosen this amazing human as the first face in our Desserts with a Purpose series donating $1 from each cake pop to a charity of Sapphire's choice.
