Hundreds of bologna sandwiches and not one person has asked what’s in it!

There used to be a saying that you don’t want to know what bologna is made of. That came from somewhere real. The federal standard lets bologna include beef, byproducts, fillers, and mechanically separated pork and chicken. Why they call that mixure a BPK? No idea.

Ours is all pork. Salt, spice, and smoke. Made at the Butcher Shop, a mile from the griddle.

Nobody asks what’s in it, because they already watched us make it.

Our first new menu items! The Bologna Melt! We make our bologna from scratch at the butcher shop, finished with a light hickory smoke. Our melt is a third of a pound, melted colby jack, OTB mayomustard, bread and butter pickles, lettuce, all on toasted sourdough. It’s a big sandwich!

The Big Cheese. Three cheeses melted on toasted sourdough. Cheddar, American, and Swiss Gruyère. Add any veg you want.

For the kids. Bologna and grilled cheese meals.

We could have bought bologna. We did not buy bologna.

We’re making bacon jam with in-house smoked bacon. After we hit it with the emulsion blender, it’s ready to be portioned out per order. During service, we use an ice cream scooper to put it onto the flat top and give it its final crisping before topping onto the smoked bacon burger.

Yes, we still want to add items. Sandwiches, chicken, a veggie burger, kids’ portions. All of it is coming.

But between this town and everybody driving in, we’re putting out over 600 burgers a day, and we’re maxed out on the space to hold and cook what that already takes. Anything we add comes out of the burgers, and the burger comes first.

We are working on more storage and the expanded menu. Thank you for your support, patience, and appetite.

We sold nearly 1000 burgers yesterday!! Which means we’re out. We can’t open today, and we’re sorry.

We’re still in shock. Thank you doesn’t feel like enough, but thank you. To everyone who’s come back once, twice, three times already. To everyone waiting in line, sharing the word, and believing in what we’re doing here. We feel it!

All week, we’ve been making multiple trips a day to the butcher shop to keep fresh local beef in stock. We’ve stacked buns to the ceiling, made enough goop to fill up a bathtub, and cooked as hard as we possibly could.

We sold an entire cow yesterday. Good beef takes time to get right, and we’d rather close than serve you something frozen or rushed.

We are truly sorry to anyone who had plans to come or shows up hoping to grab a burger today and ask you to please share this so folks know.

Sold out!! Over 400 burgers again today…

Thank you to every single one of you. We cooked as hard and as fast as we could, and it still wasn’t enough to keep up with y’all. We promise to keep improving, expanding the menu, and bringing you good food.

We will be closed tomorrow and return to normal business hours on Tuesday.

Grand opening today. OTB is now open!

Doors open at 11. 2152 Stanford Road, Lancaster.

We're keeping the first weekend simple: four core burgers. It lets us give every plate the attention it deserves while we find our feet. More is coming soon.

We've got epic sandwiches on the way. We're bringing chicken to the menu, our feta and spinach chicken sausage is already dialed in and delicious. We're working on kids' portions so the whole family has something to love. We've also been nailing down a scratch veggie burger, because we're hearing you, and we want good food on the table for every kind of eater.

We start with the burgers, because we're Old Time Burger. Can't wait to meet you today, all weekend and then on Tuesday and then on the next day and then the next day … because we OPEN NOW Woooooooooooooo!!
