Big exciting news on the rescue front! 🐱

We are EXPANDING our rescue partners through a bridge program that connects foster-based rescues and the cat cafe that we’re calling the 717 Rescue Nexus!

In order to expand our outreach to rescues with less visibility and exposure for their foster kitties, we’re teaming up with them to bring these kitties into the cafe. This system will allow us to accept cats on an individual basis from established rescues to offer them a temporary home with LOTS of exposure and socialization at the cafe as spots open up. Our partners are on board, excited and so are we! Think of the cafe as just another foster...but with a lot more visitors than the average home, and so many more opportunities for cats and potential adopters to fall in love 😍

Note: this program is for established 501c3 animal rescues. There is an application process that each rescue will need to fill out for each cat they would like to submit to the cafe. Rescues will need to provide their 501c3 status, proof of vaccinations, vetting, spay/neuter, and the cats need to be suitable for a cafe environment.

We’re taking this REAL seriously; we are dedicated to the health, safety, and comfort of our adoptable cats and are passionate about helping them; but we need to make sure we’re doing our due diligence, for these cats and for our cat cafe patrons. ❤️

is an amazing local photographer that we all know and love in Lancaster! She has a beautiful array of photographs of natural wonders from local parks and nature reserves. She’s also got embroidered photographs and RAINBOW BUTTS 🌈

is a local artist who’s got beautiful original prints and stickers for sale! This is her first time being featured in a public space, so give her lots of love! Just look at that sunny strawberry person piece with the frame 🥹🍓

Who has two thumbs and is scoop number 51?!

👍😎👍 it’s Chauncey 🧡

Our silly goofy thumb boi went to his forever home today! I know Chauncey is polydactyl and has amazing mittens, but personally I think his adorable nose freckles are underrated 💓 we’re so happy that Chauncey’s new human fell in love with his equal parts sleepy-snuggly parts, AND chaos wild parts.

If you can’t handle him at his 👹🌪️ then you don’t deserve him at his 🥺🎀, ya know?

Luckily, we think they do :) good luck in your new home, Chauncey! We love you!
