Backstreet Garden Events
Once upon a time, our row of buildings housed pool halls and cafes known as Backstreet. When businesses were taking flight from downtown, sculptor Bob Doster saw the potential as studios and galleries. Changes over the years have included renovating to enlarge gallery space, creation of a private outdoor garden, and rentals of the venue for special events. We host bridal brunches, showers, anniversary and birthday parties, rehearsal dinners, and even small weddings and receptions. Our beer and wine license allows us to create events open to the public that include live music, artist openings, book signings, artisans markets, oyster roasts, and more - where we welcome our friends through the door to enjoy a unique experience in our relaxing environment.
If a “Mad Hatter Party” is your cup of tea, we can help you with all the details. All you will need to do is bring your wonderland friends! We are an oasis in the middle of Lancaster’s Cultural Arts District, a hidden gem that folks stumble upon and never forget.
