Sharing our food is one of our favorite ways to share a little of where we come from. We loved joining Wheatland Middle School for its first Hispanic Heritage Month celebration, “Nuestras Raíces, Donde Crecen los Recuerdos,” and being part of an evening that welcomed families to celebrate their roots.

As a Mexican-owned business, it means so much to see students celebrating the cultures and traditions they’re growing up with. We’re proud to bring a little taste of ours to the table and get to know the community that continues to support Melo’s Tacos.

A late-night bite tastes even better after a busy rehearsal! We loved welcoming understudies from the Fulton Theatre's production of Ragtime to Melo's Tacos for some food and a chance to unwind.

We had such a great time at our first VeloCity! Getting to be part of this celebration and support Lancaster City Alliance meant a lot to us. We may not have taken home the People’s Choice Award, but getting to share our food, our culture and a little piece of who we are with so many people in the Lancaster community made the night worth celebrating.

Thank you to everyone who tried our dish and showed Melo's Tacos some love. Seeing people enjoy something we created is always one of the best parts of what we do.

We’re grateful to Lancaster City Alliance for inviting us to be part of VeloCity and proud to have shared the room with so many people who make Lancaster what it is.

We’re also incredibly proud of Chef JC Mateo Salazar and what he brought to the competition. Our first VeloCity is officially in the books, and we’re already looking forward to the next one. We’ll see you on the rooftop at Tellus 360!

¡La pasamos increíble en nuestro primer VeloCity! Ser parte de esta celebración y apoyar a Lancaster City Alliance significó mucho para nosotros. Aunque esta vez no nos llevamos el premio del público, poder compartir nuestra comida, nuestra cultura y un pedacito de quiénes somos con tantas personas de la comunidad de Lancaster hizo que la noche valiera la pena.

Gracias a todos los que probaron nuestro platillo y le mostraron tanto cariño a Melo’s Tacos. Ver a la gente disfrutar algo que preparamos siempre es una de las mejores partes de lo que hacemos.

You know us for rooftop tacos, now we’re giving you another reason to come hungry.

We’re joining Lancaster City Alliance's VeloCity Restaurant Competition at Tellus 360! Our own Chef José Mateo Salazar will be serving a special competition entry for VeloCity VIP guests, whose votes will decide the People’s Choice Award.

We’d love to bring that award home to Melo's Tacos! If you’ll be there, stop by and taste what we’ve made. We’d love to hear what you think and hope to earn your vote.
