and standard culinary techniques; they discovered how to cook from their heart and in doing so they “unlocked the magical flavors from the crossroads of civilization.” Today, we use fresh local ingredients, robust aromatic spices and years of experience in the kitchen to create dishes such as hummus, tabbouleh, shawarma, falafel and baklawa at Southern Market. Our passion for the rich history of Middle Eastern cuisine, combined with the power of food to be a universal language, leads to people of all backgrounds uniting around the table as one community.
