Update:

WE ARE SOLD OUT! Y’all, thank you, thank you, thank you! The support you all have shown to this little business has been crazy and so appreciated.

We will process our next batch (these will be Red Rangers, not Cornish Cross) on June 12 & 13. I am going to provide a class on the 13th, where I will answer questions, let you get hands on (if you want), and all the other fun parts of processing! I will post a link soon to register for that.

In anticipation of our upcoming processing day and needing freezer space, I have decided to run a flash sale tomorrow - Sunday. All chicken breasts left are $2.50/lb off of the regular price! Hours are as follow:

Friday (5/29): 11AM - 4PM
Saturday (5/30): 10AM - 4PM
Sunday (5/31): 12PM - 4PM

It’s broth making day! We still have broth packs for only $5 each!

While you can get fancy with veggie scraps and herbs, when I am making broth to can, I just use water, a great quality salt, and a splash of apple cider vinegar.

24 hours in the crockpot, and then I will can it to be shelf stable.

We now have 6 new helpers in the pasture! The chickens do a great job, but these ladies and gents will turn the pasture over even better, and then we will run the chickens behind them. Thanks to Double K Ranch for raising such quality animals!

They will stay in here for the next 2-3 days (being moved twice a day), and then we will release them into a moveable paddock with double stands of wire. Be gone poison ivy, oak, and sumac!
