FIRE CIDER WORKSHOP

It’s back again this year!

As the seasons shift, it’s the perfect time to prep your wellness cabinets with tried & true herbal remedies. And one of my all time favorites to make is Fire Cider

I’ve been making fire cider for over a decade now - and love inspiring others to make their own. Come learn about the history and benefits of this well known traditional folk remedy

The name “fire cider” is most widely recognized by well known herbalist Rosemary Gladstar, but the formula itself is a mix of different remedies that have been used for thousands of years in different cultures. It is known for stimulating the immune system/circulatory system, a tonic for the digestive system, its anti-microbial action, and for sinus/respiratory infections. etc. In this workshop you will make your own jar of fire cider to take home

Your ticket includes:

- A breakdown of the importance of the ingredients and their herbal actions

-An overview of the history of fire cider

-All Organic Ingredients and fun add ons to concoct your own unique fire cider blend to take home

-fire cider tastings as a group!

-Learning a new skill in community

Each participant will have the option to purchase The Fire Cider recipe book from Rosemary Gladstar after class

Come celebrate this special day with us on the eve of the autumnal equinox. We will have botanical beverages, Hannah Inglish Lakewood Massage will be popping up offering chair massage, and 5% of our profits of the day will be gifted to Great Lakes Great Responsibility - a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to protecting our Great Lakes basin through community action, shore cleanups, and regional advocacy 🌊

Good morning everyone ~ it’s moments like these when I’m grateful I have a physical location for my work. from today ( Friday ) until Sunday we will have protest letters opposing the bureau of land managements lease sale for oil and gas extraction in Wayne National Forest in southeast Ohio ( our only National Forest in the state )

The bureau of land management is moving forward with fracking over 41 parcels near the Marietta area of the National Forest with bidding scheduled September 15th. By now we all know the devastating effects of fracking: with potential of toxic methane leaks, and contamination of ground water only touching the surface. Its time to let them know we will not allow Ohio to be sold to the highest bidder and as Ohio residents we pay for and utilize our public lands and demand that they stay protected not extracted from

The deadline for these to be mailed out is Monday August 3rd ~ and thanks to some incredible community members we have over 50 letters of protest, forever stamps, and envelopes. We will be mailing these out Saturday morning and Monday morning. All you have to do is stop by the shop during our hours and sign.
