When I first toured the space that is now Roasted Lakewood on November 1, 2022, I remember standing in the empty space, thinking I could do this againโ€ฆ

Mind you, Roasted Tremont had only opened a handful of months earlier on March 25, 2022, after signing that lease on December 1, 2021.

To some, I may have seemed out of my depths, to me, I was wildly optimistic that this was where I needed to be next.

I happened to also sign the lease for Lakewood on December 1, 2022. An exact year later. It felt kismet, but I also knew I had a lot of work ahead of me.

At the time, this current space needed a lot of love and color, so I went right to work. Transforming all of the open white spaces to have soft and bold colors, that really encompassed the vibrancy that is roasted.

I painted my first large scale mural (the drippy rainbow in the back room), added splashes of color to the menu and door frames, and built and thrifted the furniture and decor.

We officially opened on April 28, 2023, and this year marks three full years of roasted in Lakewood.

Itโ€™s so heartwarming to still see the same regulars weโ€™ve had since the beginning. I cannot thank you all enough for supporting roasted. Itโ€™s led to having met so many wonderful people, cultivating a great team, and keeps us creative with our seasonal menus.

Hereโ€™s to more fun drinks, lots of dog visits, and being in the Lakewood community ๐Ÿงก
