It’s with a heavy heart that we must announce that we have had to make the very difficult decision of permanently closing Fore. We would like to apologize for taking as long as we did to officially make this announcement, but with an event of this magnitude, we needed a few days to process what has happened. In that time there has been understandably much speculation and rumor about our status and why thing s have occurred. So we would like to set the record straight that sadly, we have permanently closed. Unfortunately due to a significant decrease in business, largely due to the recent saturation of business in the area, we no longer have the capital required to effectively operate. In short, business has slowed too much to continue to stay open. We have been serving the Lake Travis Area for 5 years now, and this was a very difficult decision to have to make. After that much time and effort put into serving this great community, this is not the way we wanted it to end.
We would first like to say “thank you” to the amazing staff that we’ve had over the last 5 years. You have been loyal and hard working. We could not have been able to provide the excellent food and level of service that our guests know and love.
We would also like to thank to our amazing guests and especially our regulars. You not only kept the lights on, but after 5 years, seeing each and every one of you go through ups and downs, and struggles of your own, we truly do think of many of you like Family. We will always look back, and remember fondly, that you are why we did this endeavor in the first place. It breaks our heart that we will not be able to continue that.
We would like to thank the other organizations in the area that we worked with like Rotary and the Chamber of Commerce. Thank you to the many vendors that gave Fore its unique taste like Sweet Bakery, Brothers Bakery, and Quality Seafood. Our goal was to bring the community the best ingredients, and our vendors were and will continue to be the best at what they do. Please continue to support the small businesses in the area. Each and every one works tirelessly to provide this great community with the goods and services that you desire, but they can’t do that without your continued support.
We will always remember the special relationships that we have had over the last 5 years in this great community. We love you all and will miss you more than you will ever know.
Sincerely,
Fore
