The baker is taking a vacation, so unfortunately the cookies have to take one too. They don’t have a choice. 😂

Cake It or Leave It will be CLOSED September 7th - September 14th while I trade flour, sugar, and butter for tents, trees, and questionable sleeping arrangements. 🤣🏕️

We’ll be back September 15th, hopefully rested and not emotionally damaged by nature. 🩷

Our farmstand era is coming! 🥹💗

Well, first comes the saving, planning and looking at building prices without passing out. 😂

With several events coming up, we’re hoping to save enough to start building our very own Cake It or Leave It Farmstand in Lake Wales, with the goal of opening in late 2026 or early 2027.

That means you won’t have to wait for us to pop up at an event. You’ll be able to stop by Thursday through Saturday and grab whatever goodies we have available! 🍪

So when you support us at an upcoming event, just know your cookie might be paying for a wall, a shutter or one of the wheels. 😂 Every purchase gets us one step closer, and we truly appreciate y’all for continuing to support our little registered cottage bakery! 💗

I honestly don’t even know why I made these. 😂 I was just going for crispy minis, then I was like, “Lemme make some regular-sized cookies too.”

APPARENTLY they’re called classic cookies, not regular cookies. 🤣🤣🤣 Well, excuse me, Cookie University. 🍪🎓

Anyways, now we have crispy minis and classic cookies… because clearly I enjoy creating more work for myself. 😂

-Sugar
-Biscoff cookies

-Powdered sugar
-BUTTER & EGGS (because you can never have enough butter or eggs 😂)

Basically, the kitchen has been robbed. 😂 Buttttt the cookie doughs are made and ready! So I’d say the kitchen casualties were worth it. 🍪🙌🏽

I’m beyond happy and thankful. 🥹🩷 Every day I wake up is already a blessing, and lately I’ve had even more reasons to be grateful.

Between last week and this week, Cake It or Leave It LLC has been accepted into three October events! 🍪✨

We’ll be returning vendors at two annual events and vending at another one for the very first time! 🥳 Anddddd we mayyyy also be hosting a little workshop later this year. 👀🍪 Still working out the details on that one, but I’m excited just thinking about it!

I’m forever grateful for the event coordinators who continue to give small businesses like ours the opportunity to participate in their events and show us so much love and support. 🩷

October is officially BOOKED, baby! 😭🙌🏽🍪

We’ve got ONE market on the schedule this month! 😂 And nope, we are NOT bringing the full spread this time.

This will be our first time at Pickers Paradise Open Air Market, so we’re testing the waters AND somebody 👀 decided to book us a little 3-day getaway that same week.

So basically… vacation ➡️ come home ➡️ BAKE ALL FRIDAY NIGHT. 😭😂 Oh yayyyyy. Love that for me.

Come see us Saturday, September 12th from 9 AM–3 PM in Lake Hamilton! 🩷🍪

💗 The Part of Small Business You Don't Always See

Before we even sell a cookie, we're paying for:

✨ LLC & annual fees
✨ Insurance
✨ Website, business phone & email
✨ Local Business Tax Receipt
✨ Market/vendor fees
✨ Business memberships
✨ Marketing & Canva
✨ Internet & electricity
✨ Card processing fees & taxes
✨ Ingredients & packaging
✨ Equipment & supplies
✨ Gas & transportation

Small businesses don't have the same buying power as large retailers. We're not purchasing ingredients and packaging by the truckload or mass-producing thousands of products at a time. We buy in smaller quantities, make everything in small batches, and that means our cost per item is higher.

So when you pay $5–$6 for a cookie, that's not $5–$6 in our pocket. 😂🍪

Small business doesn't automatically mean cheaper.

It means you're supporting someone who is the baker, shopper, photographer, marketer, customer service department, delivery driver, accountant, inventory manager, dishwasher AND cleanup crew. 😂

So to everyone who understands the value of shopping small and continues to support businesses like ours:

Summer break is officially OVER, and we’re getting ready for our first market back in September! 😮‍💨🍪

And yes, I’m already prepping dough early because somebody accidentally booked our 4-day camping trip for the SECOND week instead of the third. 😂🏕️

Soooo guess who gets to come home from camping and basically clock RIGHT back into the bakery? 🙋🏽‍♀️🤣

No recovery day. No “lemme unpack first.” Just straight from campfire to cookie dough. 😂🍪

But we’re baaaaack, y’all! 🩷 September, here we come! 🙌🏽

Lawwwwwdddd, decorating a cake is HARD. 😭😂

I made this video a while back trying to decorate a cake and baby… I have QUESTIONS. 🤣 Is there supposed to be a different frosting for the filling? Another one for the crumb coat? Another one for the outside?! Because whatever I was doing was fighting me every step of the way. 😭🎂

Anywayssss… I’ve decided to stay in my lane for now. 😂🍪 Cookies and other sweet treats that don’t require me to have a degree in frosting engineering.

Maybe I’ll try cake decorating again in the future. MAYBE. 😂 But for now, y’all can keep them perfectly smooth sides, sharp edges, piping bags and turntables.

I’ll be over here making cookies. 🤣🍪🩷
