Sunburst Falls tumbles beside NC 215 beneath an old stone bridge, while Sliding Rock sends visitors down a smooth natural chute into cold mountain water. Looking Glass Falls drops 60 feet beside US 276, with roadside views and steps leading closer. Key Falls pours over a broad ledge near Brevard, a region with more than 250 waterfalls. Connestee Falls can be admired from a small roadside viewing area where two creeks meet. Upper Whitewater Falls makes a dramatic 411-foot plunge, reached by a short paved path to the main overlook. Bridal Veil Falls spills 120 feet beside US 64, where motorists once drove beneath its rocky overhang. Nearby Dry Falls drops 75 feet and offers an accessible overlook, plus a walkway behind the roaring water. Cullasaja Falls crashes through its narrow gorge and is visible from a small highway pull-off, though traffic requires care. Bullpen Cove Falls, also called Bull Pen Falls, slides over layered rock into a clear pool near the Chattooga River. The route also passes friendly mountain towns with restaurants, shops and scenic places to pause.

She's been called the most beautiful ship in the world, and today, the Amerigo Vespucci sails into New York Harbor for our nation's 250th birthday. Named for the Italian explorer who gave America its name, she belongs right here. Happy Fourth of July to all! 🇮🇹⛵🇺🇸
