7:37pm, and the last dirty dish from being a coffee vendors at the Lake Saint Louis Farmers & Artists Market at The Meadows this morning is officially clean. 🥱☕️
Market days require a whole lot of preparation for every vendor present—not just the night before, but throughout the week. My rock star husband is roasting and preparing coffee (around his 40+ hour job), watching the weather, guessing how much hot coffee and cold brew we’ll need, experimenting with new drinks, and getting all the little details ready. Meanwhile, there’s normal life happening too: meals, cleaning, preparing to teach homeschool, music lessons, and all the things that make up our days.
And then there’s this. ❤️
Working alongside our four precious kiddos. Watching them learn, serve, greet people, carry things, make drinks, and become part of something we’re building together. Even if we are melting loading up the truck once the maker ends..🫠🤣
By the end of the day, we’re tired. Really tired. 😂 But we’re also incredibly grateful.
Grateful for the familiar faces who come back week after week. Grateful for the new faces we get to meet. Grateful for the conversations, the community, and the opportunity to work alongside my best friend and our kids.
So yes, there are a lot of dishes.
But there’s also a whole lot of joy tucked into the work. And we wouldn’t trade it. 🤎☕️
