Saranac Sourdough began in 1995 as a seasonal business in Saranac Lake, NY, retailing hand made, hearthed baked, pure sourdough raised breads through area farmer’s markets. We opened at our current location in Lake Placid in 1998, and with it, expanded our horizons to serving lunch and breakfast. Since then, we've been committed to serving the best food in the Adirondacks. Everything we serve is s

ourced from the best ingredients, fresh fruit and vegetables, local, farm-fresh eggs, and only the best meat available. From there, we transform everything by hand into our award-winning and beloved array of soups, sandwiches, and salads, recognized for excellence by the New York Times, the Boston Globe, and the Philadelphia Enquirer. Every sandwich we make is served on our hand-baked bread, all made in-house and fresh, the same way we've been making it for twenty years. Saranac Sourdough is owner-operated and family-run and you have our guarantee that it'll stay that way.
