Meet Kelly 🤍
For Kelly LaHart Collins, owning the Stagecoach Inn feels a little like coming home.
After a 40-year career in the Washington, D.C. area, Kelly returned to a place that had been woven into her life since childhood. Growing up in Cortland, she spent countless visits in Lake Placid with her extended family—hiking, skiing, kayaking, skating frozen ponds and falling in love with the Adirondacks along the way.
Over the years, Lake Placid became what Kelly calls her “emotional home.”
And the Stagecoach was already part of that story. She had stayed here many times, celebrated her engagement here in 1991, and years later rediscovered the Inn over an unforgettable dinner with friends.
So when the Stagecoach came up for sale, it felt like a real-life dream come true.
Today, Kelly’s vision is simple: linger longer. Sip a cocktail on the porch. Stay for another conversation. Gather around the s’more pit. Meet a stranger at the bar who might just become a friend. And experience a little of the mountain magic that has kept people coming back to Lake Placid—and the Stagecoach—for generations.
