🕶️A little fun history about our fabulous Aztalanl Inn!!

This is Aztalan Inn, in about 1930. Pictured is left to right, Ethel Jones, Pat and Mary Ann Gardner.

Asa Gardner early settler, joined a Wisconsin Unit to fight in the Civil War. When he returned he was awarded a homestead in Nebraska. He, his wife and children went in covered wagon and by foot to Nebraska, however Asa got poison ivy in his eyes and they couldn't maintain the farm and had to return to the Aztalan area.
Asa's son Eph and his wife Marcella as seen in the pictures operated the Lake Mills General Store (now Aztalan Inn😊) for some time before moving to Milwaukee.
