Ok everybody....this coming weekend is the last weekend of pickin! Come on down and enjoy it with us! I just want to share Tim Turner's sentiments in his email about Jerred Nix! He is one of the nicest young men that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and an awesome musician! He has been on the deck every Saturday night since the Pickin' started...setting things up, playing non-stop and staying to break things down and even help take out the trash for me! He brought us the Cain't Hardly Playboys and if you weren't there....you missed some magical music! Without Jerred and our other 'regulars'....Tim Turner Sr., Tim Turner Jr., Amy Horne and Mark White...we wouldn't have had as much fun! They all have the gift of music in them! It didn't matter how hot it was or how much the rain threatened us...they were always there! We've had professional musicians, kids that are just getting their feet wet, two of the most adorable little yodeling cowgirls, and a host of people who just love to play and sing. From footstompin', to hand clappin', to singing along....you name it...they played it! Tim Turner, Sr., thank you for your unending enthusiasm and for making all of the music come to life! Amy Horne....I am going to miss your giggles (that seemed to come out of nowhere and travel across the deck to make everyone giggle with you) and your smiling face! Thank you to all of you who came to join in with your instruments and your voices! Thank you to all of you who came to listen and clap your hands to the music! We have had more fun than we ever imagined! I'm really going to miss all of our regular customers whose smiling faces were there faithfully every Saturday night! I hate to see summer and music on the deck come to an end! I look forward to next Memorial Day when it starts back up! Great big hugs to all of you!
