We’re officially releasing our Autumn Favorites to BOTH locations, and our former Harvest drink has gotten a beautiful little makeover.

Meet VERMONT — organic pumpkin, warming spices, and our new Maple Cloud Cream, all paired with our housemade pumpkin syrup. 🎃🍁

We’ve always believed that a seasonal drink should be made with ingredients you can actually recognize.

So while many seasonal coffee drinks rely on artificial flavoring, preservatives, corn syrup, and long ingredient lists, we’re keeping ours simple:

Real organic pumpkin.
Real spices.
Real maple.
Housemade syrup.
Zero artificial ingredients.

Because pumpkin season doesn’t need to be complicated to be delicious.🎃

What you don’t always see are the opening and closing lists, inventory, ordering, cleaning, scheduling, training, problem-solving, coaching, and all the little details that keep everything running behind the scenes.

And now with 2 locations, there’s even more to carry.

Audri has poured countless hours, energy, patience and heart into Refined. She helps keep our standards high, our team moving, and our culture intact.

Refined simply wouldn’t be where it is today without her.

She’s more than a manager. She’s someone I trust to care for this company, our team, and the people who walk through our doors.

When you go to Angleton and ask…

“What do you recommend?” Without hesitation, I’ll smile and say,

“The Mexico Iced. It’s my pride and joy.”

Not because it’s our best seller.
Not because it’s trendy.

Because it’s home.

It was the very last drink to make it onto our Passport Menu because I refused to settle until it tasted exactly the way I remembered.

Every batch starts with our own house-made horchata. Clean ingredients. No artificial flavors. Just real cinnamon, real rice, and the kind of warmth that can’t come from a bottle.

I’ve spent years ordering horchata anywhere I could find it. Every Mexican restaurant. Every market. Every little stand. Some were delicious, some were overly sweet, some tasted artificial—but each one reminded me what I was searching for.

I wasn’t just chasing a recipe.

I was chasing a memory.

My mom was born and raised in Chiapas, Mexico, and moved to the United States in her 30s. She built a life here while making sure my siblings and I never lost the beauty of where she came from. She taught us that food carries stories, traditions, and love.

We all have flavors that instantly take us back.

Maybe it’s the way your grandmother made biscuits.
Maybe it’s the smell of fresh tortillas.
Maybe it’s scrambled eggs with ketchup… or Eggs Benedict. Neither is wrong. They’re simply part of someone’s story.

For me, it’s horchata.

It’s her arroz con leche.
It’s cinnamon filling the kitchen.
It’s family gathered around a table.
It’s comfort.
It’s childhood.

And since losing my mom, those flavors have become even more precious.

So when you order a Mexico Iced, you’re getting more than coffee and horchata.

You’re tasting years of tasting, memories that refused to fade, and a little piece of the woman who shaped so much of who I am.

Every cup is made with intention.

Every cup carries a story.

And every time someone tells me, “This is the best horchata flavor I’ve ever had,” I can’t help but smile… because that’s exactly what I hoped you’d taste.

A NEW REFINED EXPERIENCE IS COMING TO LAKE JACKSON 🤍

If you’ve been following along with our Angleton location, you’ve probably noticed some changes.

We’re bringing that same simplified menu, streamlined flow, and cashless system to Refined Lake Jackson.

We know change can take some getting used to. But as a small business, I’ve spent years trying to accommodate every request—and over time, that created more inventory, more complexity, more stress, and made training and consistency harder than they needed to be.

So we’re going back to what REFINED has always meant to us:

Simple. Intentional. Quality. Consistent.

These changes are ultimately about creating an experience that is faster, more consistent, less complicated, and more reflective of who Refined is.

To the people who appreciate what we’re creating, who care about quality ingredients, who notice the difference, and who continue to support our vision—thank you.

Thank you for allowing Refined to grow, evolve, and create something meaningful in this community.

ANGLETON, YOU WERE WORTH THE WAIT. 💜

Any great business knows it doesn’t happen alone.

It takes a village.

And after what happened Tuesday, August 11th, we can say with full hearts: the wait was worth it.

Our Angleton location began with a contract signed at the end of last year. It took longer than we planned. There were moments when we wondered what the timing would look like.

But looking back now, we can see it clearly:

It was all in God’s timing.

Angleton was never meant to simply be whatever we did in Lake Jackson, replicated in a new location.

This past year brought so much thought, prayer, changing, testing, streamlining, training, menu development, and visioning. We wanted to create something that still felt unmistakably REFINED, while also creating a menu and experience that could be executed beautifully and consistently in a timely way.

And we’re not done.
Some of what we’ve built in Angleton is coming to Lake Jackson soon. 👀

Tuesday’s grand opening and ribbon cutting humbled us more than we can put into words.

To see business owners, friends, community leaders, customers, and people who simply wanted to show up and support us — it was an affirmation that the waiting, the work, and the unknown were worth it.

If you had told us last year what God would be doing through Refined in Angleton, honestly… we wouldn’t have believed you.

God spoke.
God guided.
God strengthened us.
And He opened doors in ways we never could have planned ourselves.
