🚨 BIG TAP & LADDER UPDATE! 🚨

Another major step forward! This week, the Lake Elmo City Council voted to approve the next step in the process of bringing Tap & Ladder to the old fire station. 🚒🍻

While the process has taken longer than we hoped, we haven’t been sitting still. Our initial design and permit plans are nearly complete, and we’ve been working hard with Dsgw Architects behind the scenes to keep things moving.

Next up — come see us at Lake Elmo National Night Out on August 4 ( Lake Elmo Night Out ), right next to the fire station! We’ll have project updates, free giveaways, Tap & Ladder merch, and the debut of our newest venture: Fire & Ice, ( Fire & Ice Lake Elmo ) our shaved ice truck built from a converted ambulance! 🚑🍧

We have even more exciting things in the works. Stay tuned — we’re getting closer! 🔥

I had the privilege of being invited to attend the Celebration of Life of Patriotic Kenny yesterday. It was a beautiful ceremony and perfect day. Many shared memories they had of him, Veterans in attendance received a foundation Challenge Coin, and at the end a WWII-era plane made a flyover in his honor. I was also able to confirm that we will still benefit the foundation through charitable gaming once we are finally open. Until then,

We are so sad to read this news that Patriotic Kenny has lost his battle with cancer. Our condolences to his friends, family and followers. If possible, we still plan to incorporate charitable gambling that benefits his charity. Rest easy, sailor. 🫡 🇺🇸

Lions Park update:

This week, crews will remove existing equipment and complete base preparation work. Once that’s finished, landscaping is expected to begin as early as Friday and continue for a few days.

After landscaping is complete, installation of the new equipment will follow over the next two weeks.
