LABOR DAY WEEKEND EVENTS - UPDATES

It's Friday, and the Lahaina Lights and Softball events are ON

The Lahaina Return races are OFF. Hurricanes Lowell and Karina are presenting too much risk, so the open ocean races are cancelled

Saturday 10 am: Informal skippers meeting at Mala, races from noon to 4pm off Lahaina Town (Puamana)

Saturday 6 pm: Drinks at Branches, Royal Lahaina

Sunday 3 pm - 6pm: Oahu Thundercocks vs. Lahaina's Moby Dicks Softball at the Lahaina Rec Center Field

Committee boat is with Captain Dustin of UFO (Mahalo UFO Parasail!)

Aloha Sailors and LYC Ohana! Updates regarding Lahaina Yacht Club events for this Labor Day weekend:

Two hurricanes are approaching Hawaii. We’re hoping for good conditions, but planning for contingencies. As of today (Tuesday), events are still on. Rain-dependent, we’ll still play softball on Sunday. We’ll likely make a call tomorrow (or Thursday at the latest) with a consensus on whether to hold the sailing - Lahaina Lights.
And Saturday night, plan for the Branches at Royal Lahaina - no host bar and pupus.
