Tea Talk Tuesday ☕🌿

What are you sipping on today?

I’ve got a warm cup of "Blushing Garden" in my hands today with a splash of lavender syrup. There’s something extra cozy about floral notes in a warm cup. No complaints here 💜

As we move along with delicious tea, I’m also taking this time to deepen my herbal knowledge and share little cozy bits of that journey with you each Tuesday.

Today’s herb spotlight: Rose 🌹

Rose is more than just a pretty flower. Soft, floral, and slightly sweet, rose has long found its way into teas, desserts, syrups, and herbal blends. It has a way of making a cup feel a little softer and a little more special.

Traditionally, rose has been enjoyed in herbal practices for supporting relaxation and creating a sense of comfort and calm.

In folklore and spiritual practices, rose has long been associated with love, compassion, beauty, emotional healing, and opening the heart. It has often been used in celebrations, rituals, and moments of reflection.

Simple Sip Idea: Add rose petals to tea with a touch of honey, or pair with citrus and lavender for a soft floral cup.

You’ll find rose tucked into both my "Blushing Garden" and "Quiet Moments" blends because I just can’t resist a little floral magic. 🌸✨

Until next Tuesday, stay steeped in something lovely. 🫖

Today, we pause to remember and honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Memorial Day was once known as Decoration Day, a time when families and communities gathered to decorate the graves of those who had fallen. That simple act of remembrance still feels so meaningful today.

May we hold gratitude in our hearts, take a moment of stillness, and remember that the freedoms we enjoy came at a cost.

Wishing everyone a peaceful Memorial Day.

With love,
Pepper’s Pots

Tea Talk... Wednesday? 🤧☕🌿

My house got hit by the plague this week, so we’re pretending calendars are a social construct for a moment. 😂

What are you sipping on today?

As we move along with delicious tea, I’m also taking this time to deepen my herbal knowledge and share little cozy bits of that journey with you each week.

Today’s herb spotlight: Mullein 🌿

Mullein is one of those herbs that quietly grows in fields and roadsides looking humble, while secretly being a bit of a powerhouse in the herbal world. It has a soft, earthy flavor and tends to play nicely with other herbs rather than stealing the show.

Now, I’m not venturing into "wellness tea" territory yet, but I still think herbs and their long histories are fascinating. Mullein has been traditionally used and appreciated for generations, particularly in herbal practices involving respiratory support and soothing properties.

In folklore and spiritual practices, mullein has been linked to courage, protection, warding away negativity, and lighting the path forward. Historically it was even called “candlewick plant” because dried stalks were dipped in tallow and used as torches. How cool is that?

Simple Herb Idea: My favorite way to enjoy mullein is blended with peppermint and a little honey. The peppermint gives it a fresh brightness while the honey softens everything into a comforting cup.

Gentle Advisory: If using mullein as tea, it’s traditionally recommended to strain it well because the tiny fuzzy hairs can be irritating.

I also keep mullein on hand because I enjoy blending with it. If mullein catches your eye and you'd like something cozy and herbal featuring it, send me a message and let’s talk tea.

I just love learning about these herbs and sharing the journey with you all as I go.

Until next time, stay steeped in something lovely. 🫖

Sunshine in a jar today ☀️🫖

I mixed up a little porch drink with orange juice, lemon juice, water, and Pepper's Pots lavender simple syrup while enjoying the sunshine and listening to the birds sing.

Tiny moments like this are my favorite kind of magic. Slowing down for a minute, stepping outside, and finding a little sweetness in an ordinary day.

Tea Talk Tuesday ☕🌼

What are you sipping on today?

I’m reaching for something soft and comforting today. One of those blends that makes you want to slow down for a moment and exhale a little deeper.

As we move along with delicious tea, I’m also taking this time to deepen my herbal knowledge and share little cozy bits of that journey with you each Tuesday.

Today’s herb spotlight: Chamomile 🌼

Gentle, floral, and lightly sweet, chamomile has been cherished in teas for generations. It’s one of those herbs that feels like exhaling after a long day.

Traditionally, chamomile has been enjoyed to support relaxation, restful sleep, and soothing an unsettled stomach. It’s one of my favorite herbs for creating quiet, comforting moments.

In folklore and spiritual practices, chamomile is often associated with peace, purification, abundance, and calming heavy emotions. Many people have long connected it with rest, protection, and inviting softness back into the home and spirit.

Simple Sip Idea: Steep 1 tablespoon fresh flowers or 1 teaspoon dried in hot water for 5 to 7 minutes. Lovely with honey and especially comforting before bed.

You’ll find chamomile in my “Quiet Moments” blend alongside vanilla rooibos, lemon balm, rose, and lavender for an extra cozy cup. 🌙✨

Gentle Advisory: Chamomile is generally enjoyed by many, but those with ragweed allergies may want to use caution. Always research what works best for your body, especially during pregnancy, nursing, or with medications.

Until next Tuesday, stay steeped in something lovely. 🫖
