Poseidon's has been sharing authentic Greek dishes with locals since 1994. The restaurant is owned and operated by Aristos Anastassiades, who comes from the island of Cyprus near the coast of Greece. The restaurant is known for consistent and attentive service and a great atmosphere. e a trip to Poseidon’s. The most difficult part of dining at Poseidon’s is to narrow down your menu options. The lunch menu features a handful of customer favorites, including the Mousaka or Gyro platter, Chili Shrimp over Rice, or the Salmon or Tilapia served over rice. The appetizer menu features many classic Greek favorites, including Mousaka, Spanakopita, Tzatziki and Dolmades. If you simply cannot decide, try the Appetizer Platter, which features several of the most popular appetizers. For the main entrée, you have your work cut out for you when it comes to decision-making. The grill and seafood options are mouth-watering, and you can choose from dishes such as Shrimp Souvlaki, Leg of Lamb, Chicken Lemonato or a Gyro Platter. Pay particular attention to the combinations available, as they are an excellent value. If you are hoping for a lighter bite, try one of the Pita Wraps that are served with rice pilaf or homemade french fries. Choices include Gyro, Pork Souvlaki, Chicken, Shrimp and Veggie variations. No trip to Poseidon’s Greek Restaurant is complete without an order of Baklava or Cheesecake to finish off the meal. Nobody leaves hungry after a trip to Poseidon’s. August 20th, 1994 — Poseidon’s opened our doors to Acadiana. ❤️🇬🇷32 years later, I’d like to thank my kids for their patience through all the long hours and dedication it takes to keep this place going 😂🥃, my family for all the authentic recipes, love, and unwavering support, all my friends—some good, some bad 🤣—and everyone who has worked alongside me throughout the years. But most of all, YOU—the loyal customers who have supported us, some of you since day one. Without you, none of this would have been possible. I am truly grateful for every meal, every drink, every laugh, and every memory we’ve shared together. Here’s to the next 32 years! 😂🥃🍷 Great food, questionable service with a smile since 1994.
