She has been gone for seven years which doesn’t seem possible, but she continues to impact my life on a daily basis. She had a hard life, but she plowed through and raised six children while working full time. She buried one. Then she buried a husband. She met the love of her life and had a happy marriage until the day she died. She survived lung cancer. Through all this she persevered. Was she perfect… no! But she did her best.
She showed people her love through food. She was known for her beef stew, fried chicken, peach cobbler and the infamous tw***ie cake. If you knew her, you might have been the recipient of one of these.

She was strong, loving, compassionate and loyal. She gave her children many gifts, but the biggest one was love. She loved fiercely.
We miss her everyday, but her legacy carried on in her children and grandchildren.
Happy Mother’s Day mom, we miss you tremendously!

I can’t believe April is almost here. Time flies! Hopefully it will bring plenty of sunshine! Here are our specials for the week:
Monday: Baked Steak and a delicious Chicken Pasta- according to my son. It has a light tomato, creamy base with orzo pasta. So good!
Tuesday: Fried Chicken or Country Fried Steak
Wednesday: Ham and Beans or Meat Loaf
Thursday: Chicken and Noodles or Sausage, Potatoes and Green Beans
Friday: White Fish or Catfish Nuggets

Tomorrow is “Win, Win” Wednesday. I do not know what I am winning, but hopefully it carries over into Thursday so our Boilers can “Lock it down”! We will have Meatloaf, Ham or Beans on special. We will also be serving Italian Beef while supplies last. Then top it off with a piece of Ding, D**g cake. You can’t go wrong!
