🎉 IT’S OFFICIAL — WE’RE A 501(c)(3)! 🎉

We have some incredibly exciting news to share…

Lakes Region Diaper Exchange is officially an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization! 💙

What started with one simple thought — what happens to the diapers babies outgrow, and what if we could get them into the hands of another family who needs them? — has grown into something bigger than we ever imagined.

In just a few short months, we’ve watched our community show up again and again. You’ve donated diapers. You’ve filled collection boxes. You’ve volunteered. You’ve shared our posts. Local businesses and organizations have opened their doors to us. And most importantly, families have trusted us to be part of their village.

Now, we get to take another HUGE step forward. 🥹

Our official 501(c)(3) status means contributions to Lakes Region Diaper Exchange are tax-deductible, and it opens new doors for grants, partnerships, funding opportunities, and growth — all of which help us reach even more families throughout the Lakes Region.

And while the paperwork may have our name on it, this milestone belongs to our entire village.

To every person who donated a single pack of diapers, gave $5, shared a post, offered storage, hosted a collection box, volunteered at an event, connected us with a resource, or simply told someone about us:

Thank you. You helped build this. 💙

We started with diapers.

Prayers for our friend! 💚

UPDATE ON CHARLIE ST. CLAIR

The Laconia Motorcycle Week Association would like to share an update on Executive Director Charlie St. Clair, who was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday, August 4.

One week after the accident, Charlie remains hospitalized in Cleveland, Ohio. While his injuries are severe, he is stable and continues to receive excellent medical care from the team at MetroHealth Medical Center. Out of respect for Charlie’s privacy, we will not be sharing additional details regarding his condition at this time.

We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming outpouring of prayers, well wishes, and messages of support from friends, riders, industry partners, and the extended motorcycle community from across the country and world. The kindness and compassion shown over the past week has been truly humbling. We sincerely believe that the positive thoughts and encouragement being sent Charlie’s way are making a difference, and we ask that you continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers as he begins the long road to recovery.

Many people have reached out asking how they can help and whether there will be an opportunity to support Charlie during his recovery. We are currently working with our local legal counsel to establish a GoFundMe that will help support Charlie’s recovery efforts. Once those details have been finalized, we will share them through the official Laconia Motorcycle Week communication channels ( ).

On behalf of Charlie, his family, and the Laconia Motorcycle Week Association, thank you for your continued support, compassion, and patience during this difficult time.
