It’s hard to find the right words after such a significant loss to our community 😞
Charlie was the face that would always come to mind when you thought ‘Bike Week’ but he was so much more than that. While he was definitely a riding enthusiast, he was also an advocate for small businesses, a supporter of all things community, a passionate politician & an influence on more people than he realized. He would stand up for the little guys & genuinely cared about the people in this community.
There’s no questioning how much of an impact Charlie made on the riding community both near & far. He was dedicated to continuing the legacy of motorcycle rallies, not just here in Laconia but nation wide.
I can’t help but smile as I think back at the advice he gave me & all those empty bottles he recycled so passionately. Those $2 bills he always carried around. And how he would always correct us that it was ‘Motorcycle Week’ not Bike Week.
We’re going to miss seeing his smiling face in his van as he rolled around town. But even more, we’re going to miss the person that Charlie was. His heart, his passion, his kindness & all that he has done in & around our community.
Our hearts are with Jenn, the Laconia Motorcycle Week Association, Charlie’s family & the many friends he’s made across the country over the years.
