Maybe you noticed but we had to close early as we had water problems and did not want to mess with hot water system and bathroom issues. Some of you were shocked when I told you in the parking lot that Happy Cow ice cream our friends shop is opened. We have a great relationship with them. Thanks for your understanding

Wow summer is winding down fast as some of the kids are already going back to school around here and out of state. Remember the old days when school always started the day after Labor Day. Not sure why they need to do this but I'm not the boss and just roll along like other I guess. The days during the summer go by so fast and Winter seems forever. Enjoy what we have and I will post some changes near end of the month. To the kids heading back please be smart, safe, and enjoy the things we have.

So last night we we slammed with non stop people in line and yes it was great. The kids worked hard and non stop taking care of the great customers. We had 3 people that came in together and it was one complaint after another from all 3. The service was slow, the lines are too long and guess what the Sundae they ordered is not wanted they thought it was. They kept giving the kids a hard time and finally one rude comment was returned with sorry but maybe you should go someplace else. Now this young lady who is a great worker called me and said she was sorry and had to let me know it was her in case i got some complaints. I told her "next time just forget the idiot and thank you for your letting me know". She was right by telling me and also right in her response to the idiot". If you need to belittle my kids or cause problems ask for me or send me a message. We have other places in the area to serve your entitled needs, please try them. You have no right to be a jerk in our place, just be a jerk someplace else. Now i could be right or i cold be wrong but being a jerk to some hard working kid on a saturday night is not what i want in our place.

Hey guys i must apologize for not thanking everyone for the great response and visits to Liliuokalanis Ice Cream & Coffee Bar at the Weirs in recent weeks. I have been busy trying to keep up with orders, cleaning, fixing, kissing old ladies on the deck, giving cute dogs cookies, and yes even our recent Mayor Bordes pants auction. O ya thank to the person that bid $400 on those 46's and the kids at the ice cream store who donated their tips for 2 days to help Delta Dog raise funds for service animals. We have such a great group and thank you for dropping by. If Mayor Bordes is reading this sorry about saying 46's for some reason my autocorrect is broken and i will try to correct the size later. After several phone calls and questions about if we will be doing Lobster or asparagus flavored ice cream as advertised on recent news outlets, the answer is NOOOOOOO. Sure we can be cool like some places but we rather just be simple, good, old fashioned place to get super ice cream, great workers, super place, waterfront, and reasonable prices. Just come in, order, sit on the waterfront patio and enjoy. Not that other places can't do what they want it just not us. So drop by and just relax with my favorite (vanilla w/ hot fudge) boring i know lol.
