Our Wildey’s family has experienced a heartbreaking and unimaginable loss.
Sam Hobbick, one of our servers and a member of our Wildey’s family, tragically passed away in a car accident, leaving behind her two sweet children—who have now lost the person who loved them more than anything in this world.
Sam was scheduled to work this Sunday from 6:00 AM–1:00 PM.
She won't be here to work that shift.
So we're going to work it for her. ❤️
This Sunday, Wildey’s Country Diner will be holding SAM’S LAST SHIFT, a fundraiser for Sam’s children.
We will be open our regular hours from 6:00 AM–8:00 PM, with Bingo beginning at 6:00 PM.
Throughout the entire day, ALL TIPS AND DONATIONS will be given to Sam’s children—and Wildey’s Country Diner will MATCH the amount raised.
Come have breakfast, lunch or dinner with us. Come play Bingo. Leave a tip for Sam. Even if you can’t donate, sharing this post helps.
There are two children facing a future they never imagined without their mom. We can't change what happened, but as Sam’s coworkers, friends and community, we can surround her babies with love and help make the days ahead just a little easier.
Sunday, we aren't just opening the diner.
We're working Sam's last shift for her. ❤️
