Hi valued customers. We are closing one more time this year for a family event. We will close on Tuesday August 4th and will return back to normal hours on August 12th. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Sometimes wonderful things can come from awful circumstances. Tuesday,someone threw a large river rock through the front door of our business at 1:17 in the morning! He rushed in, appeared to know exactly what he was doing, grabbed the cash register and smashed it on the floor, taking all of the money, and costing us several thousand dollars in damages busting out the door and destroying equipment to get to that cash register. It was disheartening.

That morning around 6am, a lady passed by the store on her way to work, noticed the front door was smashed out. She called the police. Later that day, the same lady returned. She reminded me of how she was hungry 6 years ago and we fed her. She had a good feeling about us ever since and felt bad that someone would do that to our business. She came back later and had a wad of bills in her hand that she wanted to give to us to help us get back on our feet. She remembered we had been kind to her and wanted to return the kindness.
What a wonderful gesture. What a wonderful friend. What a wonderful member of our community—-Don’t we need more like her? We declined her wonderful gesture with fond appreciation; but her kindness will forever live on in our hearts.
