A Heartfelt Farewell After 50 Wonderful Years!

After five remarkable decades of serving authentic Mexican cuisine and creating cherished memories in the Inland Empire, the Macias family has announced their heartfelt decision to retire and bring Mi Ranchito Restaurants to a close.

We have sold our final location in Upland, CA, and will officially close its doors later this summer.

What began in 1974 with our parents, Antonio and Sara, and just six tables in Ontario, California, grew into something far beyond our dreams, thanks to you. With your support, we expanded to Chino, Upland, and La Verne, sharing our love for fresh, authentic Mexican food with generations of families.

Three generations of the Macias family have proudly carried this legacy. Now, as our children follow their own paths and we step into retirement, the time has come to say goodbye.

In the coming weeks, we’ll share our official closing date and plan a meaningful farewell to honor the legacy of this restaurant and the community that built it.

We hope you’ll stop in, reminisce, and enjoy one last meal with us!

We cannot close this chapter without thanking our FOH staff. Most have weathered one of the most difficult times with us, the pandemic and they never wavered. They have worked countless double shifts, adjusted to last minute schedule changes, short staffing and have tackled any task that was needed without being asked and without complaint. Truly an amazing team! Not only do I appreciate each and everyone of them, but I will miss them greatly ♥️

We’d like to take a moment to thank our amazing Chef Carlos Sandoval for all of his hard work and leadership in the BOH. Carlos is an “original” employee. Hired and trained by our late founder Antonio Macias in our original store in Ontario. He has kept our food true to its roots for 35years of his employment. His strong work ethic and loyalty took us through the rough waters of the pandemic and beyond. Through all this, his kind and happy spirit have made it a joy to work with him daily. We are so thankful and grateful to have him in our Mi Ranchito family ♥️

29 years ago we opened our wooden doors to this beautiful community of La Verne. We have made new friends, watched your families grow and have been honored to be a part of many of your celebrations. Today, with a thankful heart, we are announcing that we have sold our location in La Verne and I am retiring. We are so grateful for all of our guests, friends, family and staff for all of your love and support through the years.

Please welcome Micas Restrobar as you warmly welcomed us 29 years ago. You will see familiar faces, as they have kindly hired some of our wonderful staff.
