Today, Wednesday, Dec 20, the Pizzeria will open a little late (11:30-11:45am?)

In addition, the Opera House Pizzeria will be closing its doors permanently, this Saturday, December 23rd. More can be said at a later date, but now is not the time.

Updates for my customers:

This week, Thanksgiving week, the Pizzeria will be open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Because of Thanksgiving, and an appt on the following Monday (27th), it will be closed Thursday THROUGH Monday, Nov 23-27.

Also...food-wise,

We are out of the following:
-Manicotti, meatballs, chicken wings, and zeppoles,
and they will no longer be available.

I will have further updates in the next 1-2 weeks.

Family of five, fed for $55.
Starts today at 4, and goes through the month of November, we are offering a special, for those parents too pooped to cook, for dinner. This is a DINNER order, (not lunch, so we ourselves can plan ahead.)

It is the family of 5 for $55 special.
You get:
-Two (2) medium pizzas with ONE topping each,
-1 Garlic loaf
-2 salads
-5 desserts...in any combination, of cannolis and/or zeppoles. (Tiramasu NOT included.)

Mom? Dad? Phone it in, after 4pm, and pick up on the way home!
Couldn't be easier. And do the math, it is a great deal!

Call after 4, ask for the 5 for $55. Starts today, goes through November.

Because of the pilot & family yesterday, i forgot about the customer, right before!

Young man (25-ish), from Colorado Springs, does a specialized form of construction, comes here occasionally.

Wants to try everything. Gets a slice, pepperoni roll, wings, drink.
Minutes later, wants to try cannoli and tiramisu.
Minutes later, back up at the counter, wants a jar of honey.

He was so glad he did, bc he has now found his “go-to” spot, and wondered why I didn’t land the restaurant in Springs in the first place.
I didn’t get a picture, but I’m sure he’ll be back. Customers like him and the pilot, make my day, week, month!

This super pleasant family flew in from Centennial, Colorado…yes, FLEW IN for our pizza.
He is a private pilot. Not making it up. He just got his license, they looked for a place to go for lunch, decided to fly the cessna here.
They flew in and got pizza, loved it, left. He made the joke that the pizza cost him $500 (gas money.)
Terrific people. Thanks for making my day!

(This is a huge part of what I’ve been trying to do. Make the pizzeria so special, that people literally make trips, to try what theyve heard. That’s why I have the map on our wall, showing where they’ve come from. I’d hope, La Juntan’s would want a business owner who cares so much, his place has become a destination stop. Isn’t putting La Junta on the map, a good thing?)

Now, we're up to sheetrock, repairing walls, texture, primer on all walls...
It is clear, from how I look, that I am working SO hard!
Or, another theory is, I am not too good at getting the texture on the walls, versus myself,

But hey, let's believe the first one! Why let a good story go to waste?! (lol)

So now, we are entering August 2021.
So far, we have renovated the Barbershop, the entire basement guts, boilers, all 6 apts, the upstairs hallway, the tree, sidewalk repairs, all the endless brickwork, portions of the roof, and finally, help arrives...in the form of a grant. This helps pay for 32 new windows, 3 new security doors, tile for entries, and more...all of which was done from August to December 2021.
