After getting his start in the restaurant industry at the young age of 11, Franco Francese is now the proprietor of the LaGrange Park, Illinois favorite, Mattone Restaurant and Bar. Known for their Italian and American cuisine, patrons come from all over to visit. Mattone was formerly known as D’s Little Italy, which was owned by Francese’s father, Domenic

o. During these days, Francese began familiarizing himself in different areas of the kitchen, carryout room, bar, and on the main floor. Francese has since made this location his own, naming it Mattone Restaurant and Bar, which is Italian for “brick.” Keeping with that theme, the restaurant features a large brick oven in the center of the restaurant, tall ceilings, rustic chandeliers, and is adorned with brick around the dining and bar areas. Francese has created a welcoming environment for the community to come and share a meal. Mattone is perfect for dinner, catering, take-out, delivery or accommodating your special events.

Friday night (7/3) we are extending happy hour an extra hour!! Come join us for discounted drinks and yummy bites from 4-7pm before heading out to fireworks🎆
For anyone who wants to keep the party going, anything off of our new summer drink menu will be just $10 ALL NIGHT LONG🍸 (if you haven’t had the Hugo Spritz yet, you’re truly missing out!)
Finally, we will be closed on Saturday the 4th to let our staff relax and celebrate with their families, we will be back open for regular dinner service Sunday at 4pm. Wishing all of our costumers a very happy Fourth of July 🇺🇸
