Another year in the books for our fishing tournament. We had 20 boats, 64 people. The lake was flat and the fishing was good, all teams reported a lot of fish but smaller ones.

1st place: Oh Boy # 37.55 $700.00
2nd Place: Quincy D. #34.89 $400.00
3rd Place: Garum. #31.70. $300.00
Biggest Fish: Garum: 12.99 Lake trout

A huge thank you to all who donated:

Peninsula Boom & Equipment: 2- 500 dollar gift cards to woodlands.

Baraga County Hospital: 500 dollars cash

The Nite Owl Cafe: 2- gift baskets including two gift cards.

Indian Country Sports: A fish basket, with a gift card.

Local resident who would like to remain anonymous: 200 dollars cash.

Also a special thanks to Gail Hollon for always being there for us ever since we took over at the Finn’s and always helping out, we appreciate it so much!!

Cass and I have always been very proud of where we have come from and the history of our families. We feel so blessed to be able to carry on all the history that comes with The Finn’s. Smoked french dip was a hit last time, so its making a come back. Saturday special smoked french dip with a side of Au Jus. Cant wait to see you all, enjoy the summer weather.

We are all so lucky to live in a community like we have here. Cass let me know the other day that we also received a $500 dollar donation from Baraga County Memorial Hospital for the Finns fishing tournament, we cant express how appreciative we are for the continued support of our local community and the hospital. It should be a good time with some local sponsors showing up every year for us, lets hope for good weather. Stay safe out there to everyone fishing in the tournament this weekend and see you all the next.

Got a call from Brandon the other day with Peninsula Boom & Equipment letting me know that Pen Boom would once again be supporting the Finns fishing tournament with two $500 dollar gift certificates to Woodland Fi****ms & SUpply in Baraga. We are just humbled that they keep supporting this tournament with such big donations. Brandon and his crew are the hardest working guys I know and do great work, and are there every time I need them. If you need any diesel work, heavy equipment, or hydraulic work done give them a call they do just about everything and are perfectionists. Thanks again Brandon, Jess and the crew from Peninsula Boom & Equipment we all appreciate here @ The Finn's.

Its been a minute since we've had time to post an update on the progress @ The Pen but its coming along. We are getting to the final stages, just a few more projects and then clean up. We are getting so excited to open up this new area on August 8th with Finn Fest, then Chad Borgen and The Collective, and also Copy That - The Musical Duo, hope to see you all there.
