Over the past few days, we’ve become aware of repeated social media posts sharing inaccurate information about us, and we feel it’s important to provide some clarification.

Kenny Held was a beloved part of the Kutztown Tavern family for many years. He was employed as a handyman and maintenance person and was truly a jack of all trades. He shared his kindness with everyone - and even a few “pull a quarter from behind your ear” magic tricks with the kids - and he meant a great deal to many of our staff. We were very saddened by his passing and continue to miss him.

To be clear, Kenny passed away over a year ago, and we only purchased the Tavern this September – a full six months later. But when we were approached recently regarding tools of his believed to have been left behind, we looked into it and were not able to find anything belonging to him. And we can confirm that no tools were sold by anyone after we took over or by the previous owner prior to his departure. We simply do not have them, and we would have no reason to keep them if we did.

Out of respect for everyone involved, we consider this matter addressed and will not be discussing it further publicly.
